The first thing to do is to admit that you are NEGATIVE. It is really easy to explain our actions, but it is a different situation when we truly have to admit where we are wrong. One of the easiest ways to change your perspective is to see what areas of your life are negative and choose to be positive. I have had so many instances where "bad" things have happened to me. I was told by someone that they would work hard to make me mean just like they were. This statement changed my whole perspective of someone, "making me mad". When we allow people to upset us, this gives them the opportunity to control us, thus, "making us mad". We have to learn that this is simply an act to cause us to act like someone other than God's child so that the enemy can say, "See, I told you that they weren't saved!" This is his job! The enemy's job is to defame God by using his children as bate to bring a shadow and shame to holiness.
You may be asking yourself what you should do from this point. The answer is, by all means necessary to remain positive! Don't let anything evil or negative come out of your mouth. Remember, the power of death and life lies in the tongue. Secondly, surround yourself with like minded people. If you are constantly around negative people, that's right, you will become negative. Lastly, carry a heart of thanksgiving. Wake up thankful, go throughout your day thankful, and go to sleep with a thankful heart.
I promise if you practice these things you will definitely change your perspective and live a more joyous and fulfilling life. Be blessed!
